“ Super food! Made fresh in front of your eyes! Try the lentil soup and rice pudding! Very nice little market on the back as well. Authentic as they come. ”
“ As soon as we walked in, we were hit with an amazing aroma of the meat. We were promptly greeted and seated right away and the waiter was very attentive. The menu had pictures which helped make our selection easier. We ordered the: • Beef tripe soup: 8/10 The light and creamy base was perfectly paired with a good amount of tripe inside. It was served with minced garlic paste and we were encouraged to add chili flakes that was set on the table for additional spice if preferred. The complementary fresh baked house made bread was paired beautifully when dipped with the soup. • Lahmacun: 9/10 The amount we were given for the price was amazing and very tasty. The thin crisp edges with a soft meat filled center was spiced and flavored very well. We ordered it as an appetizer to complement our entree dish. Flavors and portion were the highlights of this selection. Paired well with melon flavor Turkish soda (very refreshing not too sweet). • Lamb Casserole: 8/10 The tomato base sauce was full of flavor and was an amazing dipping complement to the fresh bread given for the table. The lamb was very juicy and tender and practically fell apart. There were some veggies mixed in but flavor profile was lacking a bit but still tastes very good. ”
“ The food was fantastic. A little pricey for lunch, but we split the entree. Lahmacun Shepherd Salad Mixed Grill to share Sparkling water and Coke Zero were 3 each. Went on a Saturday about 2pm. It was pretty busy and they had tables booked for reservations. We ended up eating outside - busy/noisy street but the weather was pretty decent. Parking lot was packed. Service was very prompt - the check took a little while to settle - but overall lovely experience and would easily return. ”
“ We were in Turkey a few years ago, and this place reminds us of the good experiences we had with the people, culture, and definitely the food. It is suggested for those who want to immerse themselves in a new cultural experience. Thank you, Cemil, for your service. ”
“ Cemil is as welcoming, knowledgeable, and had us all laughing! The food tasted like what we had when visiting Turkey, which was amazing and exactly what we were looking for! We had the traditional pide with green peppers, lamb gyro, and lamb shank all of which were amazingly delicious! Highly recommend and we will be going back! We also bought the green apple tea from the small grocery store in the back of the restaurant, a tea we have been looking for since having it in Turkey a few years ago! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! ”
“ The appetizers are epic. I ordered hot tea and Kasirli Pide, an 18" long bread filled with cheese. I managed to only eat half of it but enjoyed the perfectly baked dough. I need to go back with friends and order all appetizers to share. The restaurant has a kitchen and pick up counter on one side, and plenty of tables and chairs inside and outside on a patio. The back of the "restaurant" is a grocery store offering Turkish pickled and dried goods, sweets, and spices that are otherwise hard to find as well as a huge selection of frozen foods. I enjoyed the vast selection of olives and ended up buying tahini at a very good price, Shatta, pickled cucumbers, and olives. If you like olives do yourself a favor and try all the different dried olives they offer. ”
“ A five star experience! ———— Istanbul is a great place to go if your looking for a place to dine in! This place is filled with friendly faces, especially our wonderful server Cemil was a great person and great server. My family and I had an incredible dining experience at this diner, and a huge part of that was thanks to our amazing server, Cemil. From the moment we walked in, Cemil made us feel welcome with his warm smile and genuine hospitality. He was attentive without being overbearing, which also improved our experience at this diner. ”
“ Amazing and authentic! Everything we had was filled with flavor and made on site! Nothing was lacking. We had the lamb gyro platter and the beef kefte as mains and the assorted appetizer platter. One bite after the other was 5 star, complemented by b the beautifully done pita! Don't wiat! ”
